学术要求:The aim of the course is to equip students with skills in low carbon building design and simulation modelling, which will enable them to apply themselves beyond the “business-as-usual” building services design towards innovative, low energy design solutions. This has become an essential area of activity for building services engineering practices. Study is undertaken in one-week blocks with individual project work and private study between these periods. The course comprises eight taught modules of 15 credits each and an individual research project worth 60 credits. For full-time students, the modules will normally be taken as 60 credits per semester together with the Research Project spanning both semesters and the summer period.

This programme aims to give students from a wide range of backgrounds a firm grounding in transport policy, planning and business management to prepare them for a professional career in the transport field. Students study 100 credits of core modules and 20 credits of optional modules and undertake a 60 credit project. The project is a substantive piece of independent research that the student will develop in collaboration with an academic supervisor. Topics will normally be generated by the student and related to current policy and management issues in the transport sector.
