A minimum of a second-class BEng Honours degree, or an international equivalent, in civil engineering, mechanical engineering or applied mathematics. Please contact us with details of your degree and proposed subject matter if you are in any doubt.
英语要求：Applicants whose first language is not English normally require IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 90 (Internet-based) or 577 (paper-based), or equivalent.

This programme is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (comprising the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) and the Institution of Highways and Transportation (IHT) and is part of the training required to become a Chartered Engineer. It aims to provide you with the advanced conceptual understanding, detailed factual knowledge, and specialist technical skills that are required for success in an engineering-based consultancy business. It will also help to develop your knowledge and understanding of the framework within which business opportunities are identified and pursued within the civil and structural engineering sector.
课程内容 Course Content：
You take compulsory modules (80 credits), optional modules (20 credits), followed by a research project written up as a dissertation (80 credits). Compulsory modules cover: design of building systems; research methods for engineers; construction project management; enterprise for construction and structural engineering simulation and reliability. Optional modules may include: structural dynamics; specialist structures; seismic resistant design; soil modelling and numerical methods. Teaching methods include: formal lectures; tutorials; seminars; open learning; group projects; computing workshops; laboratory and fieldwork; site visits. Assessment is by formal written examinations, course work, a dissertation, and oral and poster presentations. Most modules are taught in one or two week blocks.
