The Lancaster MBA moves from the compulsory modulestowards more choice for the individual in electives. Alongside the taught modules, students will engage in three consultancy challenges. In the first term this will be with a start-up company, progressing to a larger enterprise in the second term, and culminating in a three month individual consultancy-style project in the Summer for a major corporate client. The programme thus offers a powerful blend of general and specialist, theory and practice.
An integral part of the MBA is the Mindful Manager module which allows you to reflect on both individual and collective behaviour.

First term
Compulsory core modules
Accounting, Marketing, Organisational Behaviour, Analysing Business Decisions, Operations Management, New Venture, Finance and Consultancy Challenge (an experiential exercise to develop management and teamworking skills).
Second term
Compulsory core modules
Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, Business Economics, Global Society and Responsible Management, Leading Change and a second group-based Consultancy Challenge.
Third term
Elective Programme
Students can choose three elective modules from a wide range, and have the opportunity to develop a particular specialism in areas of Finance, Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Marketing/Strategy.
Summer Project
A unique opportunity to apply your new knowledge and skills in a consultancy style project for one of our corporate clients from June to September. Previous clients include Pernod Ricard, Mazda, BAe Systems, Berghaus, Esselte, Microsoft, United Utilities, Scapa Group, as well as a range of public service and not-for-profit organisations. Alternatively you may choose to undertake a research dissertation.

Combination of 'case-based' examinations, assignments, group presentations and dissertation. All electives have substantial elements of coursework.
