Suitable for students who are enthusiastic about developing specialist skills and understanding of structural behaviour and failure, together with an awareness of impact and crash protection issues and phenomena. This course is particularly suitable if you have a good basic qualification in any engineering discipline, mathematics, or physics.
Takes you on to a career in the aerospace, automotive, mechanical or defence sectors, as well as consultancy and research and development organisations.
You will be taught by and supervised by academic staff from the School of Engineering, who have experience with industry and have written many technical papers and lectured worldwide. This is supplemented by invited contributions from industry and other leading institutions, reinforcing the applied nature of this course.
