This MSc aims to provide continuing professional development (CPD) for higher education leaders and managers, especially those looking to move into senior management positions. It will also suit those interested in current policy developments and their impact on the management of higher education. All the main areas of higher education management and policy are covered and taught by staff who have worked at senior management levels in higher education.

Eight compulsory modules are delivered as residential blocks of three days each with reading preparation and an assignment, and followed by a dissertation.
Core modules: Governance, organisation and management in higher education; Introduction to higher education management and policy; Quality management in higher education; Research methods; Strategic and operational planning in higher education; Strategic resource management in higher education
Two optional modules from: Access and inclusion in higher education; Globalisation and internationalisation in higher education; Information, marketing and institutional research in higher education; Strategic research management in higher education; other School of Management MSc modules
Plus: Dissertation
