学术要求：At least an upper second class degree, or its equivalent if outside the UK, in mathematics or a mathematical subject such as statistics, physics or engineering (to be confirmed on an individual basis).
英语要求： IELTS 6.5 (with 6.0 in each section)

课程特征 Course Features：
This programme aims to prepare students for careers involving the use of advanced mathematics or for a doctoral degree in an area of mathematics.
It introduces students to the concepts of abstract thinking and logical analysis. It also gives students the tools to solve or prove a problem using these concepts.
It provides a sound foundation and develops wider skills involved in problem solving (through the application of advanced mathematical techniques from different areas in pure & applied mathematics), time/task management and communication skills.

Each of these courses is worth 40 points and is designed to provide a broad coverage of its area at postgraduate level. Most of these courses will be divided in to two 20-point sections that can be taken independently.
