We also welcome applications from prospective students from related fields such as: visual arts, film and video production, artists moving image, photography, illustration, communication design and interactive moving image.
Portfolio advice
Your portfolio should provide examples of creative work in any medium, including recent commercial or academic activity, showing your aptitude and ability in animation and manipulated moving image. It is important that this work is supported by material that shows your working processes and research.

The animation industry is booming, with films like Shrek, Persepolis and Monsters Inc attracting massive audiences. The MA Animation - a brand new course - recognises traditional modes of animation production and delivery. But it also acknowledges and embraces the impact made by new technologies that have resulted in contemporary animation's central role in moving image practice.
The course team are all actively involved in professional practice and investigative academic work. Course Director Tim Shore's work has been shown at international festivals throughout the world. His film Cabinet (2008) won second prize at transmediale.08.Berlin. The collaboration with Animate Projects - a London-based agency - offers students access to an archive of artists, commissioning and production expertise.
课程内容 Course Content ：
The course is full-time and delivered in three stages of 15 weeks each, starting in January 2010 and finishing in December 2010. It is structured around three projects, a programme of historical and contextual studies lectures and seminars, and a series of electives.
•Stage 1 will include the following units: induction, research methods, a project development (practice), and the first of two historical and contextual studies programmes.
•Stage 2 will include a second project development unit, a choice of electives and the second historical and contextual studies programme.
•Stage 3 is focused on the production of a major self-initiated project, that will be presented in public and supported by a written report.
