This is a ‘conversion’ Master's course and is ideal if you have not previously studied business or management and want to develop your knowledge and skills in these professional areas. It is particularly suitable for students from other subject areas who are intending to work in a business organisation and who would like to acquire professional management skills. You will cover all of the core areas of business including marketing, finance, operations, people management and strategy. There are also a wide range of options available to tailor study towards specific areas of interest. By choosing specific modules you may be eligible to obtain one of the following named awards:
- Business Project Management MSc
- Marketing Management MSc
You can specialise your studies further via the dissertation or project work.

This course has been designed to capture the essence of what is contemporary management whilst giving flexibility in terms of your own subject interests. The Management MSc acts as a platform for four other postgraduate management programmes specialising in a range of varied and topical areas.
The course consists of a series of core modules exploring:
- Marketing
- Finance
- Research
- Strategy
- Project Management
You will also have a choice of two or three option modules.
The highlight of this course is the opportunity for you to study and research a topic area of your choice in the form of a dissertation practical project (part-time students only). Previously students have based their dissertations or projects on topics that will help with their career choices or subjects they have enjoyed studying during the course.
教学与评估 Teaching and Assessment:
The varied subject modules are studied in a range of ways including seminars, tutorials, lectures and case studies. Modules have different teaching and assessment strategies, so some modules are based on individual work and others on group work. All teaching and assessment is grounded in real life situations and, where possible, live projects are incorporated into the teaching and use is also made of guest speakers. The development of your professional management skills is also a priority.
