入学要求Requirement:

学术要求:
We expect one of:
• a first- or upper second-class honours bachelor's degree from a United Kingdom university
• the equivalent from an overseas university
• a professional qualification which we judge to be at a comparable level.

Your degree will usually need to be in economics or have had a substantial economics component. You will need to have taken courses in basic micro- and macro-economic theory and achieved a good standard in mathematics and/or econometrics in your first degree. Competencies are required in calculus and statistics and you should have achieved a good standard in mathematics and/or econometrics in your first degree. It is unlikely that you will have sufficient formal training if your degree is in business administration, business studies, commerce or another similar area and your application is unlikely to be considered. You must be able to answer these sort of questions on joining the course.

Occasionally, excellent applicants who do not have all of the prerequisite academic training are given a conditional offer of a place on the course. In such instances, you will need to gain adequate marks in one or two of the summer school courses offered by the London School of Economics and Political Science. Our Course Director will specify the courses you must take. The summer school runs in July & August each year. For further information, please contact:

These conditional offers are only made to applicants whose academic training is missing certain specific components. An offer would not be made available to you if your undergraduate degree had a substantial economics component, but you had not achieved the required standard.

GMAT®
Candidates with certain overseas degrees, some professional qualifications, or postgraduate diplomas, may be required to take the GMAT®, to show a well-balanced score above the 80 percent level. If you are asked to take the GMAT, please make an early application and arrange for your results to be sent directly to WBS.

英语要求:
If English is not your first language, you must demonstrate oral and written fluency in English. We accept:
• IELTS test score of at least 7
• TOEFL test score of at least 620 (paper-based), 260 (computer-based), or 105 (internet-based).
We will require your language certificates as evidence. Ideally your test should be less than two years old.

Career prospects
Targeting students at university is a tradition among big graduate recruiters. However, they still have 'target schools', universities where they particularly focus their effort. Included in this group are Oxford, Cambridge, Warwick...

Recruiters often run a number of events at 'target schools' including interview preparation classes and talks by senior bankers. These events are vital to potential candidates as they give them an idea of what to expect when interview day arrives.

The Guardian, writing about investment banking
Throughout the year we host employer evenings at WBS, open to all five of our finance courses. Having researched the companies, and presented themselves well, many of our students have been recruited from these events. Recent years have seen visits by CommerzBank, JPMorgan, and Barclays Capital.

We encourage you to use the facilities and expertise of the University of Warwick Careers Centre. Take advantage of their expertise and services including workshops, employer liaison, vacancy searches, information provision, and advice.

Our course also has Program Partner status from CFA Institute, which certifies our curriculum is closely tied to professional practice. On completing our course, our graduates go on to work for a wide range of financial organisations both domestically and internationally.
