Effective marketing strategy is the key driving force in today's global business environment. In good times and bad, marketing is a necessity if a business is going to survive and strive. Careers in this dynamic industry can be very exciting and rewarding.

This course will partner with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the Market Research Society (MRS) to offer students the opportunity to complete a Professional Diploma in Marketing from the CIM and an Advanced Certificate in Market and Social Research Practice (level 5) from the MRS.
课程内容 Course Content :
1. International Marketing Management:
This is a 20 credit module with a European fieldtrip. Students receive guest lectures as well as industrial site visits. On their return, students undertake further lectures and submit a reflective assessment linking theoretical concepts of International Marketing to their experiences.
2. Marketing in Practice:
This module involves groups of students going into local businesses and solving a range of marketing problems. They undertake research and deliver their findings and recommendations to the organisation.
3. The Marketing Dissertation, Marketing Consultancy or New Product Development Plan:
This is the major piece of work for this course
•Marketing Dissertation : A traditional dissertation
•Marketing Consultancy : The student works with an organisation on a specific marketing related project.
•New Product Development Plan : Here the student develops a concept for a new product and a plan for its launch.
•Students are also given the opportunity to undertake two professional qualifications:
Professional Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing
Advanced Certificate in Marketing and Social Research from the Market Research Society
The other modules comprising this degree are:
•Marketing Management , introducing the principles and functions of marketing and planning
•Marketing Research Design , where students will learn the key skills involved in the process market research
•Advertising, Brand Management and the Consumer , which deals with the creative and strategic aspects of integrated marketing communications as well as an understanding of consumer behaviour

The couse allows for students to enhance their employability within the field of marketing management. Whilst the traditional theoretical elements of a marketing management degree remain, there are a number of innovative elements that will enhance employment skills. These are:
•A Marketing in Practice module, where students will work with industry on a defined project.
•An International Marketing module, which will include an international fieldtrip to widen students understanding of marketing theory.
•An emphasis on generic skills development, in particular communication and creative skills.
•Business site visits and guest lectures.
