• You will be taught how to understand the economic, financial and legal environment in which providers of financial services operate.
•You will also learn about the management and regulation of financial markets, various models of pricing financial assets such as stocks, bonds and elective contracts and the underlying assumptions of such models, and how risk-averse agents can hedge risk.
•You will be encouraged to attend our annual series of practitioners’ talks and annual Economics seminar series.
•The programme is offered by the Centre for Economic & Financial Studies which covers research and postgraduate teaching in economics and finance.
•The University of Glasgow Business School has significant expertise in the field of international finance research and is ranked in the top 10% of institutions worldwide, while staff member Professor Ronald MacDonald is ranked in the top 10% of authors in this area and in economics as a whole. The most recent Research Assessment Exercise ranks research in economics at Glasgow as top in Scotland.
