The MA in Translation Studies aims to combine a professional qualification in translation between English and one other language with training in the academic intellectual discipline of Translation Studies. Students will be introduced to the history and theory of translation and to current issues in the discipline; they will experience translation practice in various forms, and will receive thorough grounding in research skills and research paradigms relevant to advanced investigations of translation processes and products so that they will be ready to enter the professions or progress to further academic study.

教学与评估 Teaching and Assessment：
The dissertation is individually supervised. All other modules are taught by diverse methods in seminar or tutorial groups. Assessment is by essay and/or by practical translating tasks and presentations where appropriate. All work submitted for assessment (except for translations from English into another language, but including commentaries on such work) must be in English.
