课程特征 Course Features:
Teaching will be by means of lectures, seminars, tutorials and small-group work. It will involve a number of different kinds of oral, written, individual and group forms of assessment. The taught component of the course amounts to 120 credits. Students complete this across two semesters (Autumn and Spring) from the end of September to the beginning of June. Students are then required to submit a dissertation at the end of August. The dissertation carries 60 credits.

Dissertation
The dissertation may involve a 15 - 20,000 word scholarly study of a topic in political communication. Alternatively, a student may conduct a piece of independent and reflexive practically based work in the area of political communications. This might involve, for example, the planning and design of a political campaign, accompanied by a reflexive assessment of the project.

评估 Assessment:
Students are required to produce written work, essays, assignments and a dissertation, throughout the academic year. These pieces of work will relate to the modules taken by students in their year of study. All coursework is marked and graded by a system of continuous assessment.
