You should have an upper-second-class Honours degree, or equivalent, in the arts, humanities or social sciences. Applicants with relevant professional experience and/or journalism training will also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
英语要求:Applicants whose first language is not English should have a minimum of IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 90 (Internet-based) or 577 (paper-based), or equivalent.

This course is designed for students who want to build on skills gained at undergraduate level and journalists who want to engage in academic study. This is an academic programme rather than a training course. Our programmes are distinguished by the synthesis of media analysis of current changes in media and society and media practice. The degree contains a substantial vocational element, which is taught by industry professionals and is designed to enhance employment opportunities in media industries.

You take four compulsory modules (80 credits) which typically cover: media analysis; methodologies – researching media, culture and society; media and law; and multimedia journalism. You also choose two optional modules (40 credits) from a selection which may include: news and journalism - critical studies; professional sub-editing; globalisation and culture; television studies; public affairs; strategies and management in public relations; theoretical approaches to public relations; building a public relations campaign; public relations in the digital age; and sex, sexuality and desire.
The dissertation (60 credits) enables you to undertake independent research into a theme or issue relating to journalism.
Part-time students take 80 credits of compulsory modules in year one and 100 credits (40 credits optional modules and the 60 credits research dissertation) in year two.
