Marketing touches all aspects of an organisation and helps shape and direct corporate strategy. The development of world class marketing and sales skills has never been more critical, with a number of economic reports identifying the enhancement of marketing and sales capability as one of the key challenges facing the enterprise sector.
The MA Marketing Management is designed to meet the needs of non-business graduates who have not previously specialised in marketing but now wish to do so. While featuring specialist marketing modules, an understanding and appreciation of other business functions within organisations is also developed.
Based at our purpose-built campus in Stockton, the programme equips graduates with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue a career in marketing. It is relevant to both the private and public sectors, as well as profit and non-profit organisations, and aims to provide students with an understanding of the concepts and systems underlying marketing practice and to develop skills of diagnosis and implementation in marketing management and research processes.

The MA Marketing Management consists of 8 core modules (4 each term) and a dissertation and runs over a period of 12 months commencing in October.

• Research Methods for Business and Management

Term 3---dissertation:
The MA Marketing Management culminates in a 12,000-word dissertation on a business topic chosen by you, and overseen by a faculty supervisor with relevant academic/consultancy experience. The dissertation is an independent piece of research. It provides an opportunity to conduct an in-depth investigation, at an advanced level, of a relevant issue in marketing. This is a very rewarding part of the learning experience.
