The advertising industry is undergoing massive changes as new technologies alter the way in which marketing professionals
communicate with their target customers and understand the impact of their designs. On this pathway you will learn how advertising is created from the advertising pitch, through to target audience identification and segmentation, the creative strategy, creative briefing, the appraisal of creative ideas, and campaign evaluation. You will build a critical awareness of the advertising industry and the challenges it faces today, and build an understanding of how other communications tools work.
You will be able to develop your thinking and skills in the following advertising management challenges:
• broadcast media
• corporate advertising
• web-based advertising
• analysis of visual advertising
• measuring the impact of advertising
