This MA Design pathway is designed to explore the specific marketing challenges and opportunities that exist within the world of fashion and its supporting textiles industries. Rapid advances in communication and digital technologies have changed the very nature of how we view the world of fashion and how consumers' tastes develop. In this context, the world of Fashion demands a very focused approach to marketing.

You will critically analyse your ideas in relation to contemporary issues and theories of fashion and textile marketing from a local and global perspective. This will enable you to challenge conventions, production methods and target audiences whilst developing your own ideas. You will have the opportunity to develop the critical thinking and skills required for a successful career in Fashion & Textile Marketing, enabling you to respond positively to the changing demands of clients and consumers.

 
课程内容 Course Content :

Subjects covered include: the history of fashion; understanding the nature of fashion shoppers and the meaning of fashion experiences; creating value for fashion consumers; visual merchandising; analysing the shopping process and fashion communications; brand design; product and service design appreciation; strategic development of brands; brand futures, all built upon the core subject of Research Skills.
